Introduction It is a matter of great pride for all
Indian Non-Olympic Federations and its Sports Personalities
Players and Experts etc. that a National Sports Governing Body
i.e. INDIAN NON-OLYMPIC ASSOCIATION-INOA has
been legally constituted with the efforts of Founder & President
of International Non-Olympic Committee (INOC) Dr. Mohammad Seraj ANSARI and further elected as
National President and Mr. K.Rehman Khan,
Hon'ble Former Minister of Minority Affairs, &
Dy. Chairman, Rajya Sabha,
Parliament of India, Justice K.N. Singh, Hon'ble Former
Chief Justice of India elected as Patrons of Indian
Non-Olympic Association (INOA) and others, under the guidance
and auspices of the International Non-Olympic Committee INOC-Charter
by the General Body Meeting Delegates Conference was held
in Lucknow. The Non-Olympic sports are very well known
and popular amongst citizens of this country i.e. Super-Cricket,
Korfball, Kickboxing, Mini Golf, Aero Club, Karate do, Atya
Patya, Billiards Snooker, Polo, Carrom, Powerlifting,
Roller Skating , Motor Sports Club, Golf Union, Softball, Tenni-Koit,
Women Cricket, Throwball, Netball, Chess, Deaf, Ball Badminton,
Bridge, Indian Style Wrestling, Wushu, Squash Racket, Amateur
Baseball, Cycle Polo, Body Building, Malkhamb, Ball Badminton,
Tug of War, Tennis Ball, Racquetball, Shooting Ball, Rugby,
Amateur Mauythai Boxing, Full Karate, Tai Chi Chua, Indoor Cricket,
Thcouk Ball, Tennis-Volleyball, Ju-Jitsu , Aikido, Sports-Karate,
Lapta, Woodball, Beach Kabbadi, Flying Disc, Martial Art, Kung
Fu, Pelota Vasca, Boules Sports, etc.,,,,, Several Indian Sports Federations have
joined with INOA in the 1st General Body Meeting Delegates
Conference, and the INOA is very sincerely looking towards recognition
from the department of Youths Affairs Sports, Ministry
of HRD, Govt. of India, New Delhi for the purpose to give further
all possible help developments, upliftment and recognition from
the peoples of this country as other public oriented sports
which are not part of the Indian Olympic Association (IOA). Indian Non-Olympic Associations and its
Aims Objectives set by the Executive Committee of the
INOA it is a matter of great pride for the country of Sports
and of course for the Non-Olympic Sports, National States
Non-Olympic Federations, Sports Personalities, Players and people
of this country as well as the entire country that a total new
organization has taken birth Indian Non-Olympic Association
(INOA) came into force on 12th March, 2000, by the first efforts
of Lucknow Uttar Pradessh. The INOA has been formed with the
sole-aim for development, upliftment, recognition and popularising
the Non-Olympic Games and states Origin Games in all over the
country, as it into Olympic Games and also like as other popular
games, which has been struggling hard to get its popularity
amongst the peoples and its due recognition from the IOA. The role of the Indian Non-Olympic Association
is to lead the promotion of Non-Olympic games in accordance
with the INOA-Charter. For that purpose the INOA has designed
the following. - To promote Non-Olympic Games Nationally
and take all necessary steps to this end.
- To represent the interests of its members at National level
with regard to the authorities, other Sports Committees, the
mass media and the public.
- To promote sporting relation between all National Federations-NFs
Sports-Games-Players, and to organize all Games, National
Games etc.
- To encourage the co-ordination, organisation and development
of sport and sports competitions, and ensure the promotion and
application, in liaison with the
national non-Olympic sports
institutions, of measures aimed at strengthening the unity of
the INOA-Movement.
- To collaborate with the competent public or private organisations
and authorities in the endeavour to place sport at the service
of humanity.
- To ensures the regular celebration of the Non-Olympic Games.
- To strongly encourage, by appropriate means, the promotion
of women in sport at all levels and in all structures, particularly
in the executive bodies of state
national Non-Olympic Sports
Organisations with a view to the strict application of the principle
of equality of men and women.
- To support and encourage the promotion of sports ethics.
- To dedicate its efforts to ensure that in sports the spirit
of fair play prevails and violence is banned.
- To fight against doping in the sense of the INOC-Charter and
to support all measures for preventing the use of all forbidden
stimulating means.
- To take measures the goal of which is to prevent endangering
the health of players.
- To oppose any political or commercial abuse of sports and
players.
- To encourage sports organisations and public authorities to
use their best efforts to provide for the social and professional
future of players.
- To encourage the spirit of fair play and all forms of violence.
- To see to it that Non-Olympics Games would be held in conditions
which would demonstrate a responsible concern for environmental
issues and encourage the
INOA-Movement to demonstrate a responsible concern for environmental
issues, take measures to reflect such concern in its activities
and educates all those
connected with the INOA-Movement as to the importance of sustainable
development.
- To support other institutions which devote themselves to Non-Olympic
Education.
- To participate in actions to promote peace and the rights
of the members of the INOA and act against any form of discrimination
affecting the INOA.
- To monitor and ensure the observation of the existing system-specific
rules, to develop a set of standard rules (in as far as the
technical peculiarities of the stadiums
allow it), and to draw up a National Sporting Calendar.
The INOA -Indian Non-Olympic Association is the only Non-Olympic Sports Indian Governing Body for All Non-Olympic Sports in India, Promoting, Recognising, Organising all National Non-Olympic Sports (NSFs), State Non-Olympic Sports (SNOSs), District Non-Olympic Sports (DNOSs) through the Country
